There is a physical similiarity between Paul Williams and Tommy Hearns. Max Kellerman mentioned it with a comparison last night. Is Paul Williams in the class of the prime Tommy Hit Man Hearns?
IMO, Paul has shown alot of potential. He's has a physical advantage over almost all his opponents thus far. He may end up dominating a division. I give him all that. But, I don't see the re-emergence of Hearns, yet. IMO, Hearns was faster and had more power than Williams.
And ill give him a very good chance to beat The Klitschko brothers... thats all.
Talk shit if you want... but his toughness, chin, fighting mentallity, and power would give him a good chance to beat them.
We all know Larry has been trying to man hump Mosley worse than the ufc queens do to each other, but now Max has started to get weak in the knees when his favs are fighting. Who's worse?
Don't get me wrong, he's tough as nails. It was impressive coming back in yesterdays fight.
But bottom line Walker showed in the first round exactly how to beat him. Obviously Chris has almost zero defense. He is tough as nails and hits hard. A straight jab, counter right, and decent movement could lead to outboxing him easily. The big problem is when Walker decided to trade with him, for some reason losing his composure. A big part of that comes from amateur experience. The biggest impressive thing from Chris tonight was coming off the canvas to win and keeping his composure. In the end that was the difference, you could see Chris was a professional fighter and Walker had less experience. Mentally I was impressed by him. But until he takes the fight game more serious, and loses weight and takes his conditioning seriously and gets a better training I'm not sold on him. His defensive flaws are huge.
The Klits both of them, have way too much boxing skill for him.
I could see him MAYBE catching Wlad on his suspect chin, but that's unlikely and a long long shot. He'd have no chance against Vitali.
